Reach for the Sky :: Tomoo Gokita at Honor Fraser, LA

With Heaven, Tomoo Gokita reaches deeper into the metaphysical, further deconstructing the figurative forms that have come to occupy his works less and less. The increasingly abstract canvases in his second solo show with Honor Fraser (Los Angeles) also mark a shift in technique, substituting monochrome black and white gouaches for blue and white acrylics.
