LA::Kelsey Brooks at New Image Art
Kelsey Brook’s first U.S. solo show opened this past Saturday at New Image Art, Los Angeles. Here, we present photos from opening night*, alongside some of the paintings available for purchase.
Brook’s new body of work represent personal meditations on spirituality and humanity. In the artist’s own words, “Creation exists beyond the scope of physical parameters and universal constants, unseen by tangibility and rationality. A place where rules are fluid and dynamic, forever changing in accordance to the unknown. These paintings are a product of this place, this limbo between 2 worlds. When I close my eyes and travel to this place these paintings are what I see.” (excerpted from press release)
If you’re a fan, now’s the time. With Brooks being officially represented by Lazarides, expect prices to rise faster than you can say “Faile.”
