Evan Hecox in Netherlands
There’s just a couple of days left to catch Urban Abstract, Evan Hecox’s extremely brief solo show at Chiellerie Gallery in Amsterdam. After just six days on view, the show will close on Oct. 29 and be shipped accross the Netherlands to the town of Heerlen, where it will be on view at Glaspalais Cultural Center from late Nov. through Feb. 15th.
The exhibit has been organized by Andenken Gallery/Mather Kunst, and original works are available for purchase. In addition, a new book and two screenprints (an edition of 20, and an edition of 100) have been produced for the occasion. Click through for images. Read the rest of this entry »

Exit Art Print Portfolio Launch
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, Exit Art launches Expose, the latest edition of their annual print portfolio. This year’s set of six prints has been produced in an edition of 50, and consists of an eclectic mix of noteworthy emerging artists including Sanford Biggers, The Bruce High Quality Foundation, Richard Dupont, Chitra Ganesh, Mika Rottenberg, Allison Smith, with a cover by Papo Colo. A reception will be held at Exit Art from 6 - 8:30pm, with portfolio discounts being offered to purchasers who attend the event.
